הושע יהוה את עמך את שארית ישראל
A force of song came forth as I was preparing to go to the Bread House for the first Glory Watch, on December 2nd, of this current Global Fast & Prayer for Israel. Listening to what I was singing, I realized it was Jeremiah 31. Having housed nearly four decades of scripture in my heart, memorizing through song, I find if the Holy Spirit wants my attention on a scripture then I will hear it welling up. Arriving at the Watch, I began to slowly pray through Jeremiah 31 and the Presence locked in at verse 7, “Proclaim, give praise, and say: ‘Adonai, save your people, the remnant of Israel!’”
Since I read the scripture in Hebrew, I delve into the roots of words allowing the scripture to expand in my heart. Praying this verse portion ended up feeling like an urgent declaration.
Three verbs, one prophetic charge. HEAR-SHINE-SPEAK…Lord, save Your people, the survivors of the slaughter!
“SHINE” and “Survivors of the Slaughter” were the keys to unlocking a Throne Room episode.
The root word for ‘praise’ here is “hallel” הלל. You know the word “Hallelujah”, it is this root plus the name of God, meaning “praise God”. But when you dig in the root, it has a high frequency of light language: clear, bright, flash forth light, shine…and yes, praise. I started seeing 2 Corinthians 4:6 “the light of the knowledge of God’s glory shining in the face of the Messiah Yeshua.” My spirit responded, “Announce, cause to be heard what is happening in the Face of the Messiah.
Next, I saw brilliance in Habbakuk 3:4-6…” with brilliance like light, rays emanate from His hand…a fiery bolt goes forth at His feet. He stood, and the earth shook. He looked, and startled nations.” Continuing in marvel, I saw Yeshua (Jesus) coming like lightning in Matthew 24:27 “For when the Son of Man does come, it will be like lightning that flashes out of the east and fills the sky to the western horizon.”
Recalling how thunder accompanies lightning and thunder often discloses the audible voice of the Lord into the earth, I entered into Throne Room scenes.
I noticed earthquakes accompanied lightning, rumblings, and thunders and thought we might expect a confirmation. The next day there were large earthquakes in the Philippines with more than 600 aftershocks. READ: Revelation 4:5, 8:3-5, 11:19, 16:15-18.
Meditating on the scope of this prayer encounter there was detail in the root regarding the word for remnant, שאר of Israel. This word also means “surviving, especially after a slaughter”. Applied to this historical moment, I submerged into intercession beseeching the Lord to reveal Himself to those that had survived the slaughter of terrorists on October 7, 2023. Both the displaced in Israel and those hostage in Gaza.
This is not a mystic musing. I am leaving a record and an invitation to sound the alarm from your deep on behalf of Israel and of the survivors. We are in one of those rare hinges of history. Israel will be the marvel of the nations and their brightness from love for Yeshua will be famous, attracting myriads in the nations (Zechariah 8:20-23).
Condition your inner man to attune to the sound from Light, God’s glory . What we behold in Glory will be our narrative, not the news. We are being commissioned to announce what can be seen and heard in Heaven as we behold the King and to wholeheartedly trust that He can do anything! (Job 42:2)
